THE PROBLEM

Thousands of chargers are down right now — and every one is a job waiting to be claimed.

The Pitch is Simple: site hosts get brand new, fully-supported chargers at zero cost — and you get paid for the install.

With Everged’s Zero Cost EV Charger Swap Program, it’s simple: you identify an under-performing charger, present the no-cost replacement to the site host, submit a quick quote, and get paid when the job is done.

What Makes This Program a Win for Contractors:

  • Immediate Revenue – Every broken charger is a ready-to-go job.
  • Fast Pay – Quick approvals and payment once work is complete.
  • No Delays – No permits, no construction headaches, easy activations.
  • Instant Commissioning - No calls, no logins, no programing.
  • No Risk for Site Hosts – All costs are covered by Everged, making your pitch simple.

This is your opportunity to grow your business, lock in more jobs, and become a trusted partner in the fast-growing EV charging market.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Why Site Hosts Say Yes to the Zero Cost Swap Program.

Their broken chargers are costing them thousands + their reputation.

When a charger goes offline, site hosts don’t just lose charging revenue — they lose foot traffic, customer trust, and their reputation.

  • Up to $3,000/month in lost revenue and foot traffic
  • 60% of drivers say they won’t return after a failed charge
  • Missed uptime thresholds for grant-funded projects
  • Risk of vandalism or liability from damaged equipment

And if their original vendor has vanished or stopped providing support, they’re stuck with broken hardware and no solution… until now.

With Everged’s Zero Cost Swap Program, there’s no reason to wait.

THE PROCESS

How It Works in 5 Easy Steps — Turn offline chargers into revenue-generating jobs.

1. Find an Under-Performing Charger
Use the DOE's AFDC Station Locator or your local knowledge to spot offline or outdated EV chargers. Broken chargers can be your next job.

2. Reserve the Site
Submit a quick form with the site name, contact, and address to lock in the opportunity. Secure the lead before someone else does.

3. Engage the Site Host
Reach out to the property owner or manager and confirm their interest in a replacement. Everged equips you with sales support to make the pitch easy.

4. Submit Your Quote
Provide your project pricing for the swap. Everged reviews and approves quickly. Fast approvals mean you get moving sooner.

5. Install & Get Paid
Complete the replacement and turn the power back on. The site host gets a modern charger at no cost, and you get paid for the job. Quick installs, quicker pay.

How It Works

Simple requirements. Big opportunities.
Group-1
Contractor Requirements

Contractors must hold a valid electrical contractor’s license in their state of operation, carry general liability and workers’ comp insurance, and maintain all required bonding. EVITP certification is preferred and may be required for certain public or grant-funded projects.

Mobile, Devices, Charging-1
Site Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, the site must either have no existing CPO contract or one that can be legally terminated due to service failures or vendor abandonment. The site host must also have the legal authority to modify or remove the existing charger(s).

Location Requirements

High-traffic, visible locations with strong utilization potential are ideal, and chargers should be publicly or semi-publicly accessible. Ineligible sites include private fleet depots, gated lots without public access, or locations under exclusive competitor agreements.

It's simple. You find the site host, we bring the solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

All The Program Sales Equipment Quote Payment
How much will I get paid per install?
Payment is based on a flat, per-unit installation rate defined in your agreement with Everged. The rate accounts for the scope of a like-for-like charger swap, including removal and replacement. Larger or more complex projects (e.g., DC fast chargers) are scoped and priced separately.
How does the Everged program work?
It means Everged pays for all new hardware, installation, and activation. The site host pays nothing upfront. Everged owns and operates the charger, while the host may earn optional revenue share without taking on capital costs or maintenance risk.
What if the chargers are just offline?
Offline chargers mean they either aren't working which is a bad EV driver experience or worse, are costing the site host money by dispensing free electricity. Getting new chargers online and operational is essential for their business.
Who provides the new chargers and any necessary equipment?
Everged supplies all charging hardware and network equipment, along with installation standards and commissioning support.
Do I need to handle permits or utility coordination?
No. This program applies to permit-ready sites. Everged pre-qualifies each site so that no new permits or utility upgrades are required for the swap.
How do I handle networking setup, software, or commissioning?
Everged provides commissioning instructions and remote support. Your role is to follow the provided checklist; our team completes final networking and activation remotely.
What’s the process for submitting a quote? What is required?
Fill in the form above and attach your quote. Each quote should include labor scope, estimated hours, and any site-specific notes. Everged provides the hardware and standard install kit.
How long does it take to get approval once I submit an RFP?
Approvals are typically issued within 5–10 business days for standard swaps. Complex DC projects may take slightly longer.
Can I just fix their old chargers?
Older units often lack parts availability, service contracts, or ongoing support. They become liabilities: non-functional, unsightly, and frustrating for everyone who tries to use them. Therefore, Everged will replace their non-working charger with new, high-performance equipment at no cost.
Who helps me if the site host has questions about the program?
Everged provides dedicated liaisons to answer host questions. You don’t need to negotiate the program terms — your focus is on installation.
How do I find site hosts with down chargers?
Visit the Department of Energy's EV Charging Station website (use this link: http://bit.ly/48jb595) Use advanced filters to select location by state, electric fuel type and charger type. For station select public access and temporary unavailable.
Once I find a down site, how do I engage with the site host?
Everged makes it easy. We supply ready-to-use marketing one-pagers and email templates to help you start the conversation. Simply share the Zero-Cost Swap program details — highlighting that the host can replace their broken chargers with modern, fully supported units at no cost. Use our tools to guide the discussion, and our team is available to back you up if the host has questions.
How quickly will I get paid after completing a job?
Everged issues payment on Net-30 terms depending on the agreement, once installation is verified and commissioning is complete.
Will the Site Host need to sign an agreement?
Yes. In order to qualify for The Program they will need to review and sign an Everged site host agreement which outlines the revenue share opportunity for their specific terms of the agreement.
Will this be an ongoing program for future installs?
Yes. The Zero-Cost Swap Program is a long-term initiative, with hundreds of qualified sites nationwide. Everged intends to build lasting partnerships with ECs for repeat work.
Do I get paid if a site host decides not to move forward?
No. Payment is tied to completed installations.
